Cameron Hart Gardner (b. 1963, Salt Lake City, Utah) is an accomplished painter whose career spans more than three decades of creative exploration. Known for his mastery of oil, watercolor, and charcoal, Gardner’s work is distinguished by its interplay of refined detail and expressive gesture, its use of reflection as metaphor, and its ability to evoke emotional depth and metaphysical inquiry. His subjects range from automotive drama and marine life to surreal explorations of identity and contemplative still life, unified by a fascination with light, tension, and transformation.

Gardner is a multidimensional painter whose work spans allegorical surrealism and precision realism. His fine art series The Mirror of Unreality explores fractured identity through theatrical symbolism, media distortion, and metaphysical inquiry—inviting viewers into layered narratives of masks, mirrors, and myth. In parallel, his automotive series The Illusion of Permanence examines the car as avatar, reflecting themes of velocity, control, and the tension between man and nature. Across both bodies of work, Gardner’s mastery of light, reflection, and composition reveals a deep engagement with the psychology of surfaces and the architecture of self.

Gardner’s fine art has been exhibited in both private collections and public institutions, including the Springville Museum of Art. He has also completed major public commissions, most notably two monumental murals for Dan’s Foods in Utah—one measuring 6' x 100' and another 6' x 70'. The celebrated “Apple Orchard” mural in Holladay remained a centerpiece of the store for over twenty years, underscoring the enduring impact of his vision.

While Gardner has worked extensively in entertainment design— www.designcgs.—comcollaborating with international clients on projects such as Expo 2020 in Dubai, Fifa World Cup in Qatar, and 2022 Olympics Beijing—his fine art practice represents an expansion of that experience into a deeply personal and expressive realm. Always seeking inspiration, he draws from nature, technology, and the human condition to create paintings that resonate with immediacy and meaning.

Gardner’s art reflects a lifetime of creative inquiry. His paintings reveal him not only as a painter or designer, but as a multidimensional creative whose practice unites technical mastery with a restless imagination. In this way, his work offers viewers images that are both visually striking and conceptually layered, affirming his place as an artist committed to innovation, resonance, and depth.
